I’m Clair MacKenzie, a certified Health and Life Coach, biology graduate and founder of TheBestYou.Coach.
For more than eight years, I have supported women with their weight wellness, helping them understand their eating, make sustainable changes and create a relationship with food, themselves and their lives that they love.
My interest in this area grew from decades of navigating my own relationship with weight, dieting and food. After losing six stone, I became increasingly curious about why change can be so difficult to sustain and why the traditional dieting and “calories in, calories out” approach has so often failed to provide women with the full picture.
Today, I help midlife women move beyond the restriction, blame and oversimplification that have shaped decades of weight-loss advice. My approach brings together evidence-informed nutrition, metabolic and hormone health education, and practical coaching. I am also currently studying for an MSc in Nutritional Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine.
Together, we explore how physiology, psychology, environment and life stage interact, alongside the mindset, emotions, habits and patterns that influence change. Because lasting change is rarely just about knowing what to do, I help women understand what gets in the way of doing it consistently, respond to themselves with greater awareness and compassion, and build changes that work within the reality of their lives.
