I spent decades of my life losing and regaining multiple stones over and over.
I've done Weight Watches, Slimming World, Lighter Life and lots of weird and not so wonderful diets in between. When I turned forty I was fat, frustrated and morbidly obese.
And then I lost six-stone for the last time.
I’m not super slim. I’m at the top end of the normal weight range. And I am very happy with that.
It’s easy for me to choose foods that nourish and fuel my body and I don’t want to gorge on processed foods and foods high in refined carbs like I used to.
I feel in control.
I don’t eat to feel better when I’m having a bad day or feel exhausted or desperate for a treat.
I’ve learned how to get enjoyment from taking care of myself too.
And now I’m committed to helping women in midlife create a relationship with food, themselves, and their life that they love.

I really was rebelling against my planned lunch, it did not appeal. It was salad and tuna. Everything was in the fridge it just had to be put together when I got back to the house. In the past I would have bribed myself (treat) or forced myself (willpower/determination) to stay on plan and to have the salad. Today I choose to go have a coffee and work through what I was feeling. It came down to the fact that my body was feeling cold, so the thought of eating anything cold was not comfortable. I had something hot lunchtime. While I ate something which was more calories, overall I ate less as there was no treat, I felt satisfied so no battle to snack all afternoon. Thank you Clair for providing the tools to have these breakthroughs
Good morning, weighed in and very chuffed to report a 2lb loss. Since Monday I have not been on a diet, not weighed and measured my food and not snacked. I did plan my meals as instructed. That was my number 1 focus off the list we were asked to make on Sunday. I have spent 30+years weighing, point counting, adding up calories and generally being obsessed by 'good' food and 'bad' food, using my feelings to drive my abuse of my body. I have been hypnotised on numerous occasions and paid out £100s for therapies and weigh ins. ........ My actual meals are usually healthy and average portion sizes, so my issues have always been scoffing all manner of rubbish down either straight after work, in the evening or when I feel my day has not gone well.
Yesterday I had a shocking day at work, I was in tears and that could have easily knocked me off focus. My kind loving husband arrived home with alcohol, chocolate, crisps and a fresh Lidl jam donut for me.....bless him! I am so proud of myself however as I didn't attack the alcohol....or the chocolate.....or the crisps....but I did eat the donut as I did actually want that but waited until after my main meal. I didn't enjoy it that much though so I would just like to say a big thankyou to Clair for this programme. The one phrase that has stuck with me is to just focus on that next pound. A 2lb loss is no major feat but for me, to lose that in 4 days WITHOUT DIETING or feeling deprived, it is massive. We can all re-programme our relationship with food when the time is right for us. I wish you all every success with your own journeys.
