I spent decades of my life losing and regaining multiple stones over and over and over.

I did Weight Watches, Slimming World, Lighter Life and lots of weird and not so wonderful diets in between.

When I turned forty I was fat, frustrated and morbidly obese.

And then I found a way to lose and manage my weight for life.

It’s easy for me to choose foods that nourish and fuel my body and I don’t want to gorge on foods high in carbs like I used to.

I feel in control.

I don’t need to eat to feel better when I’m having a bad day or feel exhausted or desperate for a treat.

I’ve learned how to get enjoyment from taking care of myself too.

And now I’m committed to helping women, who feel unhappy or unhealthy because of their weight, create a relationship with food, themselves, and their life that they love too.

I am a biologist with an Advanced Certified Weight Coach with the No BS. Weight Loss University, a certified Life & Weight Loss Coach with The Life Coach School, and a certified Health & Life Coach with The Health Coach Institute. I am a causal coaching specialist with experience in NLP, and Positive Intelligence.

Food 4 Thought Programme Modules

MODULE 1

Setting yourself up for success

We begin with helping you 'meet yourself where you are', fostering a deep understanding and acceptance of your current weight and health, and pave the way for you to explore your inherent ability to lose weight and manage it for life, through sustainable practices. We also look at adopting a growth mindset, understanding the value of learning that comes with, and how to consistently showing up for yourself every day to ensure progress.

MODULE 2

How to Eat Right for You

In this module you learn how to design the way you want to eat for life. For ‘normal life’, special occasions, when you're dealing with life challenges, when you're ill and everything in between. The 'Food 4 Thought' Food Framework process will guide you to find the balance between eating for fuel and nourishment and comfort and pleasure that gives you the weight and wellbeing you want.

MODULE 3

Hacking Your Brain and Planning

This module is all about understanding where your desire to eat certain foods comes from, and how you can take back control of your food decision making around 'trigger foods' you over desire. We explore what goes on in your brain and body and how you can work with yourself to feel more in control, and even at peace, around food.

MODULE 4

Hunger and Stopping at Enough

Tune into your physical hunger, emotional hunger, and any hormonal imbalanced hunger. Discover how to work with your body to not overeat at meals, and help you reduce your hunger throughout the day.  Plus two bonus about How Your Hormones Impact Your Weight and How to Balance Hormones for Fat Loss and Health

MODULE 5

Emotional Eating

We’re all emotional eaters. But when you’re using food as a false pleasure or to numb emotional pain then it’s time to understand what’s going on and create new strategies for emotional management. Eating to feel better is going to be ‘at best’ a fleeting relief, and at its worst a jump into a spiral of frustration. In this module learn how to use your emotions to work with and not against yourself.

MODULE 6

Failing Your Way to Success

Making small consistent changes over time will help you achieve your weight loss goals. Trying different things will help you discover what works for you and what doesn't. We are all different. Failing your way to weight loss success, when you commit to learning every time, is the quickest way to get you what you ultimately want and that’s what you learn how to do in this module.

MODULE 7

Mindset and Beliefs

We’re going to be diving deep into your beliefs and mindset. You’ll likely know the Henry Ford Quote, "whether you think you can or you think you can’t you’re right". It's all well and good but what do you do when you just don't believe that you can lose weight permanently and have the easy relationship with food that you desire? That’s what we address in this module. Learn how to create belief in yourself – whether it’s to achieve your weight goal, not regain the weight that you lose, or something else.

MODULE 8

Rewriting Your Story

Through this module you're going to be making peace with your diet and food history. And then decide what the next chapter of your relationship with food for balance and health, is going to look like.

MODULE 9

Journaling and Self Coaching

You will already have been introduced to journaling but in this module, you will learn nots of new tools tips and ways to help you create more positive emotion in your life, get more done, find more peace, and create the behaviours you want habitually.

MODULE 10

Special Occasion and Exception Eating

In this module you're going to cover all things special occasion and joyful eating, holidays, birthdays, dinner with friends and family. We’ll also look at eating when you’re feeling under the weather or life throws you a curved ball.

MODULE 11

When Others Impact How You Eat

In this module we explore the complex interplay between social dynamics and your eating habits. You'll learn strategies to maintain your weight goals and personal well-being, even in the face of external pressures and influences. Whether it's dealing with family meals, peer pressure, or social gatherings, this module equips you with the skills to navigate these situations confidently while staying true to eating the way you want.

MODULE 12

Living Your Best Life

In this class, we'll tackle the question: Do you eat to live, or live to eat? Often, we eat to feel better because we're not happy with ourselves or our lives. We’ll explore this further in this class and by evaluating whether you're leading the life you truly want.

MODULE 13

Strategies For Moving Forward

In this module, we'll look at what you want to achieve next with your weight loss and plan how to get you there. You'll already have come a long way, but we’re going to work together to see where you might be getting stuck and figure out ways to move past those tough spots. We'll set a goal for the next three months and show you how to use what you've learned about yourself to help you succeed going forward.
