This December in The Academy we’re focusing on you having an amazing festive season without feeling uncomfortably full or gaining pounds. We’re going to be helping you find the right balance between eating for comfort and joy, eating for fuel and nourishment, and creating non-food comfort and joy. Set yourself up to create the festive season you want, whether that's creating precious memories with loved ones, partying like it's 1999, or finding some peace in the presence of grief.
In this class, we'll guide you through a comprehensive approach to enjoy Christmas without overeating, covering topics like setting your festive intentions, creating a Christmas food framework, intentional planning, embracing family food traditions, managing cravings for Christmas treats, learning to stop eating even when it's delicious, avoiding the all-or-nothing mindset, and steering clear of the 'start again in January' trap.
In our class, we're focused on helping you practice self-care during the festive season, addressing the unique challenges that come with hosting gatherings, cooking, visiting others, or spending time alone. We'll explore topics like maintaining a positive body image and self-perception, strategies to prevent overeating, finding personal time amidst the busy holiday schedule, and overcoming the habit of chronic people-pleasing.
In this class we’re going to be talking about handling negative emotions and creative positive ones. We’re going to look at how to find calm in chaos, how to peace in grief, how to deal with the disappointment of failed expectations and feeling unappreciated. We’re also going to look at creating joy, comfort, connection appreciation and excitement.
In this class, the week before Christmas, we’re going to revisit your Christmas plan and look at how you’re thinking and feeling about food, family, friends, and more so that we can identify any challenges and get you set up with strategies to see you through to creating the results you want for the festive season.
In this class, we’re going to reflect on the previous Christmas week and help you decide what worked great for you, and what you want to learn from. We’re also going to help you with making the most of your Twixmas days, help you ease into the New Year, and we’ll be starting to talk about setting some ‘ways of being’ goals for 2024.
And to help you put all of this into action you be able to print or download the accompanying workbook to help you apply everything you learn you your life.
