My Story:

I didn’t always feel in control around food.

I spent years stuck in a cycle of losing and regaining weight. I tried every plan, every rule, every diet going. At one point, I lost four stone – and then I gained it all back again. I can still remember how awful it felt when none of my clothes fit and how cruel I was to myself every time I ate something I “shouldn’t”.

From the outside, my life looked great. I was successful in so many areas – a family, a corporate career, everything I thought I should have. But privately, I felt like I was constantly failing at one of the most basic things: managing my weight and eating habits.

Eventually, I gave up. I told myself I’d just focus on being happy. But I wasn’t happy – not truly. I felt stuck. Ashamed. Exhausted by my own thoughts about food, eating and weight.

What changed?

It wasn’t another diet.

It was finally understanding that the problem wasn’t me. I didn’t need more willpower. I needed to stop trying to control myself and start understanding myself.

I began learning about habits, emotions, mindset, behaviour change. I let go of shame. I learned to trust myself again. And I discovered that the more I cared for myself, the easier everything else became – including losing weight and keeping it off.

That’s when everything shifted – not just my body, but my life.

Now, I help other women do the same.

I created Finding Food Freedom to give you the support I wish I’d had – grounded, practical, compassionate help that gets to the root of what’s going on with food, weight and emotions, and gives you tools that work in real life.

For years, I felt stuck in a cycle of diets, losing and regaining the same stones over and over again. I tried everything from Weight Watchers and Slimming World to countless fad diets. By forty, I was exhausted, frustrated, and felt weighed down—not just by my body, but by the mental strain of never feeling at peace with myself.

That’s when I discovered that true change happens when you begin nurturing a better relationship with yourself. Letting go of the mental weight of self-judgement made it easier to nourish my body, mind, and soul in a way that feels natural and joyful. I now take pleasure in looking after myself, no longer using food to fill emotional gaps. I live with a sense of control and ease, and I’m passionate about helping other women experience this freedom.

I am an Advanced Certified Weight Coach with No BS Weight Loss University, a Certified Life & Weight Loss Coach with The Life Coach School, and a Certified Health & Life Coach with The Health Coach Institute. I specialise in causal coaching, with experience in NLP and Positive Intelligence, and am committed to helping women create lasting, positive relationships with food, their bodies, and their lives.
